'The Hundred Days'

No.  Not a political comment.

For 100 days, Seattle is vulnerable to possible snow.

As calibrated here, roughly November 22 through the first days of March, about a hundred.

They're over now.

And this year such white falling, once, turned wet 20 feet above the head,

And it just splashed!  It just splashed.

How goodly are thy tents, El Niño!

  1. El Nino has wreaked havoc here too. I am counting the days to warmer weather and the melting of snow which really is almost above my head.

  2. You're somewhere, if I'm not mistaken, where what the TV meteorologists call 'Lake Effect Snow' or some caudal whip-end of it, hits?

The only thing as frightening to me as terrorists is the word 'Buffalo' -- and I envision you somewhere within a comfortable weekend getaway of that city.

Comfortable, that is, when a light perspiration on the brow calls for a chilled, sweetened lemonade and when the crickets call from the underbrush. Ah! Those porch evenings!

Where was I? Oh yes: terror. It's white.
