Kiss, Kiss

Within love

discontinuities, however

you count the bickering and maybe

one or two of the fallings-out

followed by climbings-back-in

they do say it's there anyway

the pair-bonding, for life, like

two swans.

  4. Trulyfool,

Your poem indicates the reality of real love. The ups and downs, followed by the forgiveness.

Always enjoyable to visit your blog!
    Best wishes, Eileen

  6. Mary,

Thanks! I've tended to want extended free-form pieces lately, but this had a neatness that fell into place.

  7. Tess,

Thank you! So often I whirl away, away, daring you to follow 'the tune'. This one is more local.

  9. Eileen,

Love has been a toughie to handle -- as subject and as reality! Its dimensions outstrip my writing (and other?) abilities!

  10. Jingle,

Passion appears and like a magic thing leaves a note: 'Later!', and one can wait at the window for it.

  11. Jinksy,

No doubt some have said love needs be perfect. And I read that book too early? Now, a good many readings later, I'm more grounded.
